Meet the Redmond Team Behind DryMark Restoration Redmond

We’re the crew that shows up when your kitchen’s under two inches of water or your basement smells like something died in the wall. Every person on this page has a license number, a background check on file, and a name tag that actually matches their name. What ties us together isn’t corporate training - it’s that we’ve all been the one standing in someone’s living room at 11 p.m. explaining why the subfloor has to come up. We don’t do theatre. We do the work, document it, and leave you a written record.

Our People

Alicia Brennan - Owner & Founder

I started DryMark in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster, and I built this company around one problem: homeowners were losing legitimate claims because the restoration company didn’t document the loss properly. No photos, no moisture logs, no written scope - just a bill and a handshake. I wrote The Haven Standard to fix that. Haven Standard, Clause 1: written price before work begins. Every job. No exceptions.

I still review every major loss personally, and I’ll show up unannounced on jobs to check documentation. My truck has 287,000 miles on it, mostly from driving between active sites at 2 a.m. I keep a laminated psychrometric chart in my glove box from a 2013 certification course that’s been obsolete for a decade, but I still reference it when I’m explaining vapor pressure differential to a homeowner who just wants to know why their drywall is wet on the inside. I don’t golf. I read drying logs.

Marcus T. - Lead Water & Mold Technician

Marcus has been with us since 2017, and he’s the technician other companies try to hire away every spring. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Microbial Remediation (AMRT), and he’s one of maybe four people in King County I’d trust to run a contained mold remediation in a house with a newborn. His specialty is tertiary drying - the phase after the obvious water’s gone, when most crews pack up and leave you with a wall that looks dry but reads 18% moisture content on a pin meter.

Marcus grew up in a house with a dirt-floor basement in Renton, so he doesn’t need imagination to understand what happens when vapor pressure meets cold concrete. He carries a notebook where he sketches floor plans from memory after every job, which he claims helps him sleep. He has a dog named Dri-Eaz, which he insists was his wife’s idea. He’s wrong about that.

Jennifer K. - Senior Installer & Reconstruction Lead

Jennifer runs our reconstruction division, which means she takes over after mitigation ends and builds back what was removed. She’s a licensed general contractor in Washington, and before joining us in 2019, she spent eight years framing custom homes in Sammamish and Issaquah. That background matters because she knows the difference between a wall that needs new drywall and a wall that needs structural repair before the drywall goes on. She’s saved us from at least a dozen callbacks by catching rot in studs that looked fine from the finished side.

Jennifer’s particular about matching texture on ceiling repairs, and she keeps a photo library of every popcorn, knockdown, and orange-peel variation she’s encountered in Redmond homes built between 1975 and 2005. She’ll spend an extra hour perfecting a match that another crew would skim over. Her detail work is why we warranty our reconstruction for 365 days under The Haven Standard - she’s the reason we can afford to.

David R. - Service Coordinator & Emergency Dispatch

David answers the phones. More precisely, David is the live person who answers when you call (425) 689-8468 at 3:17 a.m. because your water heater just emptied into your garage. He’s been with us since 2014, and he’s dispatched over 4,000 emergency calls without once sending a crew to the wrong address or failing to get a moisture meter on-site within our response window. He knows which technician lives closest to Education Hill, which one can navigate the cul-de-sacs of North Redmond without GPS, and who’s certified for sewage versus clean water losses.

David’s from Spokane originally, and he still pronounces “creosote” with a long ‘e’ that the rest of us pretend not to notice. He keeps a whiteboard behind his monitor with the names of every active job, updated in real time, because he doesn’t trust software to tell him what he can see at a glance. When adjusters call for documentation, David has the photo record, drying log, and written scope pulled up before they finish their sentence.

Elena V. - Apprentice Technician

Elena joined us in 2023 after completing the restoration program at Renton Technical College, and she’s currently working toward her IICRC WRT certification while shadowing Marcus on water losses and Jennifer on reconstruction tear-outs. She’s already developed a reputation for catching details - a discolored baseboard in a corner the lead tech had walked past, a faint odor change that indicated hidden mold behind a shower valve. The senior techs compete to have her on their jobs because she asks the questions they’re too experienced to remember to ask.

Elena lives in an apartment near Redmond Town Center with a partner who works in tech and doesn’t understand why she keeps a moisture meter in her car. She’s explained psychrometrics at dinner parties. She’s stopped getting invited to dinner parties. She’ll make a fine lead technician by 2026, and she’s already better at documentation than half the industry.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

DryMark Restoration Redmond operates under The Haven Standard, the same documentation and pricing protocol Alicia wrote in 2011 and that governs every independently owned and operated location in our network. What that means for you: a written price before any work starts, a photo record on every visit, daily moisture logs formatted to IICRC standards, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise backed by a signed guarantee, not a verbal assurance.

Our crew in Redmond uses the same professional-grade drying equipment you’ll find across the network - Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry systems - but the people on this page are the ones who carry it through your door. They’re the ones who call you by name, explain the readings on their meters in plain language, and leave you documentation that turns your restoration invoice into a payable insurance claim. If you’ve already got a written estimate from another company, we’ll review it at no charge. Haven Standard, Clause 7: Free Second Opinion. Bring the quote. We’ll show you what’s missing.
